The Cobra Motor Cooler Fan is designed to fit onto the front end of the motor in applications where a Rear Prop adapter is used, or if the motor is used in an application such as a helicopter or car where no propeller is used. This Cooler Fan is designed to fit on the Cobra 2208, 2213, 2217 and 2221 size motors.
On many built-up 3D type aircraft, the motor is mounted backwards inside a plywood firewall box with the rear motor shaft sticking through the firewall. In these applications, the motor does not get as much cooling air as it would in a conventional firewall type mount, and can run hotter than normal. By adding one of these Motor Cooler Fans to the back of the motor, the airflow through the motor is increased and this helps to keep the motor running cool.
Included with the Motor Cooler Fan is a set of three M2x0.4mm screws which are 6mm in length, so you can attach the fan to your motor. The Cooler Fan is machined from aluminum bar stock and weighs 2.7 grams including the 3 mounting screws.
