This 3D printed Anzani “W” dummy motor kit, developed in by Innov8tive Designs, Uses the latest in 3D resin printing technology. You’ll find a wealth of molded-in detail, such as bolt heads and individual cylinder fins that rival details of injection molded kits.
When completed, this dummy engine mounts to your firewall with four included #2 x 1/2" screws, fitting over (and hiding) an electric motor. Although not an exact scale model of a “W-crankcased” Anzani engine, it does a great job of adding a bit of scale realism.
Originally designed to be used with the Old School Model Works Minuette kit, this dummy engine can be used with any number of similarly sized kits which have a flat firewall and use electric for power. This dummy motor was designed to fully enclose a 2814 stator size motor, but it could also be used n a 2820 size motor as well. The maximum outside diameter of the motor needs to be 37mm or less to fit inside the crankcase and spin freely.
With just 13 pieces, this kit assembles quickly with either CA or plastic kit glues. After completing the build, you can add your own ignition wires running from the three spark plugs into the molded in distributor on the top of the crankcase. And, you can use the paints of your choice to add weathering if you’d like.
