Tempest Switching BEC, 3-12S 20A

The Tempest SBEC’s feature high efficiency switching voltage regulators that step the voltage from your motor battery down to a safe level to power your Radio Receiver, Servos or other RC related gear.

The Tempest 20-Amp Peak SBEC will accept inputs from 6 to 50.4 volts (2 to 12 LiPo cells) and provides up to 10 Amps of continuous current, with the ability to handle up to 20 Amps of peak current for up to 2 seconds.  The output of this SBEC is user selectable, with a programming jumper, to 4 different outputs:  5.0 volts, 6.0 volts, 7.4 volts or 12.0 volts.  The input voltage must always be higher than the output voltage for this SBEC to operate properly.  For the 5.0 volt and 6.0 volt outputs the input must be a 2-cell Li-Po or higher.  For the 7.4 volt output, the input must be a 3-cell LiPo or higher, and for the 12.0 volt output, the input must be a 4-cell LiPo or higher.
